Client: Rushcutters Wine Storage
Skill: Digital Strategy, Website Responsive Design

We launched the Rushcutters Wine Storage (RWS) website back in early 2011.  It was a major success, however we wanted to capitalise on the continued growth of the business and the change in web usage.

The site was designed with SEO in mind from the ground up, quickly reaching SEO KPI’s.  To boost our SEO strategy we employed a two tier SEM process.  Through understanding the consumer wine market we tightened up our SEM on a month by month basis.  Within 4 months we were on the first page for 89% of our identified keywords, and in the top 3 for 67%.  We know where the leads come from and it is 90% web based, backed up by word of mouth.

In July 2013 we launched version 2 of the site.  A fully responsive site built in .NET with blogging functionality added.  The content plan is to grow traffic through targeted blog posts with content chosen due to our understanding of search in relation to our goals and the business niche.  We have increased our new site visits by over 85% as a result.

Responsive is all about device optimisation and with traffic firmly in the iPhone and iPad camp we can see the new site has increased time on site and the number page visits.  Conversion across these devices has also increased.
